My Journey

Service has always been an important part of my life, and it has greatly helped shape who I am today.  Discerning what to do after graduation was a long process, but God kept pointing me in the direction of pursuing service.  So here I am now-- a registered nurse, two months out of college, getting ready to fly to Maridi, South Sudan to volunteer with the Salesian Lay Missioners.  To say I am incredibly blessed is a complete understatement.  The Lord has placed this desire in my heart for so long now, and I am ready to give my life to Him so He can work through me to serve His people.  My simple goal is to live to the fullest Mother Teresa's words "Do small things with great love"- to show those I meet the same unconditional love that Christ graces me with daily.  It is my hope that this immense love will begin to transform my life into an ongoing conversation with God and with others-- a conversation where one heart engages with the other.  Because while lips speak to ears, hearts speak to hearts.
